About this project
Cladding of a concrete staircase including the landings. We took a template from every step, because the building staircase varied by a few millimetres in height. The timber comes from the same batch as the adjoining hall floor, so tone and grain carry over. The treads are thicker than the risers and the edge is rounded, so the stairs are comfortable barefoot.
